Welcome to Tom
Hartman's lectures.

Welcome to the lectures web site. This web site has been set up to support the lecture series that I have given as visiting lecturer to Queen Mary College, University of London and the University of Nottingham.

These lectures have been at the invitaion of the Schools of Biology and delivered to Biological Sciences undergraduates in the 2nd and 3rd year and postgraduates on Nottingham’s M.Sc. in Biological Imaging.

I have also been involved in training school technicians in the basic care and maintenance of microscopes and how to set them up for optimal image quality. I am very pleased to be involved with the Attenborough Nature Centre’s (Nottingham, UK) microscopy initiative.

There is also a page dedicated to the Gospel and Culture Forum of which I am a member (called cryptically Court Oak) on the menu to the left.

I am also involved with the public awareness of science and have often given talks and practical sessions on DNA extraction using only items found in the kitchen.

If you have comments or questions about these lectures or services, or simply need more information and want to contact me click on the email address on the information page.

Thanks for visiting.
